HISTORIC
The CLASSIC POSTER COLLECTION started in the 1960s by Eric Kellenberger, a young architect and passionate poster collector. Vintage posters appeared to be the perfect match to decorate moderne style interiors with trendy colorful large size artworks at reasonable prices. The richness of colors, ideas, the fun and originality of these posters made them to become the favorite home decoration of a new generation, first in the US, then in Europe and elswhere.
The collection grew over the years by purchase of single hard to find examples as well as entire collections. He organized, curated, supplied or participate at about 20 mayor Museum exhibitions in Switzerland, France, Germany, USA and Japan, for ex: "Objets- Affiches-Realismes Suisses" Paris 1982, "La Femme s'affiche" Montreux 1990, "L'affiche-Miroir du temps" Gingins 1995, a.o. He exhibited successfuly over about 30 years at specialized fairs in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. He is one of the founding members of the IVPDA (since 1996), the authority in the domain of original vintage posters worldwide. This unique assembled collection is the achievement of a liftime passion to be handover to a new destiny, to serve graphic art in a new environnement.
